Who Is Octavio Gonzalez?

• Elected to the Tualatin City Council in 2022.
• Served nine years on the Tigard-Tualatin School District Budget Committee, concluding his final term as vice chair.
• Volunteered at Bridgeport Elementary School, beginning as the 'crosswalk dad' and supporting school activities.
• Served on the board of Together Tualatin during the COVID-19 period, supporting local youth and families.

As a Tualatin city councilor, Octavio serves on the Metropolitan Area Communications Commission (MACC). He also serves as an alternate on the Washington County Consolidated Communications Agency (911), the Washington County Coordinating Committee, and the Willamette River Water Coalition. 

Octavio works with homeowner association boards and community management companies throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. He helps communities develop long-range landscape and maintenance plans centered on three priorities: liability, conservation, and aesthetics.

His work includes budgets, contract negotiation, water conservation, infrastructure planning, reserve coordination, and clear communication with elected boards. The goal is practical: care for community assets today while helping residents avoid preventable dues increases and special assessments tomorrow.

That same long-range mindset guides his approach to city leadership: maintain what we own, plan before problems become emergencies, and make responsible decisions with the public's money.
